I'm Ivan, a photographer based in Berlin with a focus on cinematic travel and urban photography. For over 10 years, photography has been my way of seeing the world differently. What started as documenting travels has evolved into a practice centered on one thing: finding extraordinary light in both ordinary and iconic locations.
What I shoot
My work focuses on architecture, urban landscapes, and travel photography around the world. I'm particularly drawn to dramatic lighting conditions like golden hour, blue hour, and atmospheric weather that transform scenes into something cinematic. The style is refined and deliberate: desaturated color palettes, strong composition, and careful post-processing that enhances rather than transforms reality.
Approach
I shoot primarily in RAW format and work extensively in post-production to achieve the cinematic aesthetic that defines my portfolio. Every image goes through a careful editing process to bring out the mood and atmosphere I saw when capturing it. Most of my work is tripod-based, which allows for the sharpness and precision I'm after, especially during low-light conditions when dramatic lighting is at its peak.
Background
Beyond photography, I have professional experience in IT with focus on coaching and mentoring, which translates naturally into helping others develop their photographic vision. If you're working on your craft, I'm always happy to discuss technique, workflow, or the creative process.
Photo walks
If you're visiting Berlin or based here, I'd be happy to meet up for a photo walk. Exploring the city with other photographers always leads to discovering new perspectives, even in familiar places.
